Staveley Skating Rink
The Staveley Ice Skating rink is one of the few natural ice skating locations in the country. Because it is a natural ice skating rink, the opening days are very weather dependent, with the last successful season in 2015. But fingers crossed that this year will be cold enough!

Sharplin Falls Walking Track
The Sharplin Falls Track has been closed since February 2015 due to a rock fall which destroyed part of the gantry structure. Due to this damage and the ongoing rock fall hazard the track remains closed.
The Track has been closed from the Mt Somers Track junction. From the Sharplin Falls car park you can still cross the Bowyers Stream footbridge and head along the track up until this junction. Although access to the falls is closed, the track is still well worth a visit, it's an easy and beautiful walk through native beech forest along the river, before climbing to head out along the Mt Somers loop track.
Please note: Dogs are prohibited.
